My name is Ambre Bangoura, an independent photographer based in Montréal — always ready to travel whenever adventure calls.
Behind the lens, I become Chadow: a discreet, feline eye, attentive to your most intense moments.
My very first shoot — with NTO at Igloofest — was a turning point: photography was no longer just a passion but a true vocation.
Why Chadow?
Chadow is a blend of stories and symbols. The name evokes shadow in English, while playing on the word “chat” (French for cat), a nod to my instinctive and discreet gaze.
It also reflects my Guinean roots: my family name, Bangoura, is linked to a legend where my ancestors hunted alongside black panthers.
My logo — a feline eye integrated into a camera lens — embodies this worldview: sensitive, silent, and always moving.
My Approach
I mainly work on musical, comedic, and cultural events, while also exploring commercial projects, portraits, sports, and travel photography.
My style is raw and spontaneous: what I aim to capture above all is the light of emotions in the shadow of moments.
I collaborate with Atuvu.ca and Montreal Rocks, and have had the pleasure of working with artists like Fakear, Joachim Pastor, Pierre Thévenoux, and many others.
Through each image, I strive to be the shadow of your moments, revealing without ever imposing.
